A straight answer
If SMP is not the right treatment for your pattern of loss, we will say so at the consultation rather than take a deposit. Some people are better served by a transplant, by a hair system, or by doing nothing at all for now.
A scalp micropigmentation studio in Fredericksburg, Virginia — focused on one treatment, and on getting it right.
AHNEWME started with a straightforward observation: a lot of people living with hair loss were being offered either surgery they did not want or products that did not work. Scalp micropigmentation sat in between, and almost nobody in this part of Virginia was doing it well.
Five years on, we have built a practice around it. Not as one service on a long menu at a salon, but as the thing we do. Hairlines, density, scar work, alopecia coverage, brows. The narrow focus is deliberate — SMP rewards repetition, and pigment matching and needle depth are judgement calls that only get reliable with volume.
We are a one-artist studio, which means you deal with the same person from consultation through to your final touch-up. Nobody gets handed off.
Every treatment at AHNEWME is performed by Vincent Henderson, the studio's founder. Not a rotating team, not whoever is free that day — the person who maps your hairline at the consultation is the person holding the machine at every session, and the person you call about a touch-up three years from now.
Vincent has spent five years working exclusively in micropigmentation: scalp work first, then scar camouflage, alopecia coverage and brows as the practice grew. That narrow focus is the point. Pigment dilution, needle depth and hairline design are judgement calls, and judgement only gets reliable through repetition.
Consultations with Vincent are free, private and one-to-one — book one here, or see his work in the gallery.

Treatment is built across three sessions because pigment needs to settle before the next layer goes on. Anyone offering a finished result in one sitting is either going too dark or too deep.
Hair loss is personal. Appointments are one-to-one, photographs are only ever published with written permission, and if you would rather not be seen coming in at all, we will come to your home instead.
Fresh needles and sealed pigment for every session, in the studio and on in-home visits alike. The setup that travels is the same setup that stays.
You are quoted a total for the full course of sessions at the consultation, not an hourly rate that grows. If your plan changes, we tell you before anything changes on the invoice.
Written instructions, a follow-up check after the final session, and a standing invitation to call if anything looks or feels off. Touch-ups years later are part of the relationship.
A significant number of people put off doing anything about hair loss because the idea of walking into a studio and sitting in a visible chair is worse than the hair loss itself. We added in-home appointments because that hesitation was costing people years.
Within 50 miles of Fredericksburg, we will set up at your home with the same equipment, the same sterile protocol and the same session structure. No travel surcharge, no reduced service.
How in-home visits workEvery dot is placed by hand, matched to your natural follicle colour and layered over multiple sessions. Here is what that actually looks like.
Consultations are free, private and no-pressure. We map the shape, match the pigment to your skin tone and give you a straight answer on what SMP can and cannot do for your pattern of hair loss.
