Eyebrow Micropigmentation

Brows frame the whole face. Mapped properly and shaded to suit your colouring, they hold their shape every morning without a pencil going anywhere near them.

Eyebrow Micropigmentation

Ombré, powder and combination brows

Eyebrow micropigmentation uses the same principle as scalp work — pigment deposited into the upper skin — with a finer needle and a much softer finish. Rather than drawing individual hair strokes that can blur as they heal, we shade in graduated density, lighter at the front of the brow and building through the arch and tail.

Powder brows give an even, soft-filled look throughout. Ombré brows keep the front deliberately light and deepen towards the tail, which reads as the most natural of the three. Combination brows add a small number of hair-like strokes at the front over a shaded base, for clients who want more visible texture.

Everything begins with mapping. Your brows are measured against your bone structure, eye spacing and natural asymmetry, then drawn on and adjusted with you before any pigment is placed. Nobody's brows are naturally identical, and forcing them to match is what makes work look drawn on.

Consider brow work if you

  • Fill your brows in every single morning
  • Have sparse, patchy or over-plucked brows
  • Have lost brow hair to alopecia or chemotherapy
  • Have brows that are asymmetrical or fading with age
  • Want a defined shape that survives swimming and the gym

Healing, and the second session

Brows go through a predictable healing arc. They look noticeably darker for the first few days, then flake lightly around day five to seven, then appear too light for a week or so as the skin settles over the pigment. By around week four the true colour has surfaced. Judging the result before then is a mistake almost everyone makes.

A perfecting session six to eight weeks later is part of the treatment, not an upsell. It corrects any patchy retention, adjusts the tone if it healed lighter or warmer than planned, and sharpens the shape. Colour boosts every one to two years keep them looking fresh.

Questions

About eyebrow micropigmentation

Typically one to three years before a colour boost is needed. Oily skin, sun exposure and exfoliating skincare all shorten that; dry skin and diligent SPF extend it.

A topical numbing cream is applied first, and most clients describe the sensation as mild scratching. It is generally reported as more comfortable than scalp work.

You approve the mapped shape in the mirror before any pigment is placed — nothing starts until you are happy with the drawing. Tone can also be adjusted at the perfecting session.
